My Story
A Short Bio About Hannah Thomas
A passion is something you can't control. It can't be contained without perhaps refusing to express yourself. Getting lost in the edit, finding the right words, and inventing the story are a just a few of my passions. And all those are pieces of the beautiful art of filmmaking.

I started Future FilmMakers so I could continue to do what I love. I had no idea what it would become. Yes, we're a youtube channel which posts weekly videos. We're a wedding videography business which makes cinematic wedding edits. And, we're a production company which produces business commercials. But, beyond that we're a family of future filmmakers. We encourage young aspiring artists. We support and communicate with them and offer our aid in their dreams. We help that spark inside them ignite into a fire to fuel their filmmaking passion. That fire is something so much bigger than myself and this small company. It's something magnificent and I'm so lucky to have a positive influence on the lives of many young filmmakers.

As a young filmmaker who at one point knew nothing, the spark that fuels my fire almost went out. Staring at the many successful filmmakers around you...their dreadfully phenomenal films...can be damaging to someone just starting. It was a very small youtuber who contacted me randomly and picked me back up. He simply said it was cool that there were other filmmakers out there trying to produce content just like him. He honestly probably just wanted an extra subscriber or something, but it meant so much to me that someone perhaps liked my work enough to contact me. After months of posting and receiving no response, it was that small sliver of success that inspired me to pick the camera up once again.
But, I can't give this small youtuber all the credit. The only reason I'm able to do anything related to film is because of the man I will marry, Hunter Glenn Smith. He has continuously supported me by refusing to let me give up. Most of the time it's just the two of us and a camera. But, with just two people who love each other and filmmaking and that camera (no matter how nice), something amazing can and will happen. If you're a young filmmaker who feels they don't have a place in this field, stop doubting yourself! DM me on instagram (future_filmmakers) and I'll personally tell you why you CAN'T give up on your dreams! I didn't so you shouldn't either. :)
